Registered Equine Massage Therapist Vanessa Hayes

Vanessa developed a passion for both fitness and everything related to horses in her teenage years. An active lifestyle, along with firsthand experience managing injuries—both her own and those of her aging horse—instilled in her a deep appreciation for the importance of self-care and rehabilitation. This foundation inspired her to help others and their horses, leading her to pursue a career as a Registered Equine Massage Therapist. Her focus is on enhancing the health and well-being of every horse she treats through equine massage therapy.  

After graduating from D’Arcy Lane Institute of Massage Therapy in 2009, Vanessa became an instructor in the program from 2010 to 2013 and served as the interim director of education in 2013. During this time, she built a successful equine massage therapy practice, working with horses of various breeds and disciplines throughout Southwestern Ontario.  

In addition to her equine expertise, Vanessa’s commitment to animal care expanded to include canine massage services and professional dog grooming after earning her diploma as a professional dog groomer. From 2015 to 2021, she owned and operated her own boarding facility, where she integrated her diverse skills to provide comprehensive care in one location.  

While she continues to offer massage services for both horses and dogs on a smaller scale, her deep connection to these animals remains a constant in her life. Driven by a curiosity for learning and a desire to explore new opportunities, Vanessa embraces a dynamic lifestyle. In her free time, she enjoys weight training, gardening, baking, and hiking with her dog.
