Tracey graduated from the Equine Massage Therapy program at D’Arcy Lane Institute of Massage Therapy in 1999. After earning the Award of Excellence for her achievements as a student, she was invited back as an instructor, where she taught in the program for 14 years.  

Tracey has always been an advocate for education and awareness around the value of working with a properly trained Equine Massage Therapist. She has spoken at various events and conferences over the years, sharing her passion of the importance of massage therapy and how the modality can and should be implemented in horse care. Through her commitment to the profession, she has built a successful and thriving business, spanning almost 30 years.

Based primarily in South and Southwestern Ontario, Tracey’s career has also taken her across North America, providing massage therapy for some of Canada’s top show jumpers. She has worked with horses that have represented Canada at the Olympic Games, Pan American Games and World Equestrian Games, while also supporting everyday equestrian athletes as a valued member of their primary care team.

Tracey’s love of teaching and her commitment to sharing the skills and experience she has gained throughout her career, has come full circle in the development of the Mitchell School of Equine Massage Therapy. Launched in 2025, she is excited to grow this program into the must-have educational experience for those who want to make a difference in the field of Equine Massage Therapy.
