Hi, I'm Mary. I am a Registered Equine Massage Therapist, Registered Massage Therapist and Cranial Sacral Therapist. I was born and raised in Halifax, Nova Scotia and have been living in Southwestern Ontario since 2009. I have been practicing as a REMT and RMT since 2011 and from 2012 to 2018 I taught the Theory and Technique course at D’Arcy Lane Institute of Massage Therapy.
Since starting my practice, my main treatment focus is horses within the hunter/jumper world, but I am open to working with horses in all disciplines. I enjoy collaborating with owners on injury rehabilitation and post-surgery recovery and I help create fitness programs for their horses that combine massage therapy with at-home exercises for strengthen and conditioning.
Horses have been a central part of my life for as long as I can remember. I began competing at the age of eleven in the hunter/jumpers and enjoyed many successful years in the show ring. Some of my most meaningful accomplishments were alongside my longtime heart horse, Kasey, including competing at the Royal Agricultural Winter Fair in Toronto in the four-foot hunter division in 2018. In recent years, my focus has expanded to breeding horses. I purchased a young mare and bred my first foal in 2024. It was a filly! I am expecting another foal in 2026. Working with young horses and supporting their development is a true passion of mine.
My husband and I live on a small farm just outside of St. Thomas, Ontario, where we share our space with our horses, twelve cows, two cattle dogs, a Saint Bernard and seven cats. Outside of my professional work, I enjoy playing soccer, skiing, camping, and baking. I have recently started growing fresh-cut flowers on our farm and have also returned to creative pursuits such as art and photography; interests I originally explored while studying Fine Arts at university before becoming a massage therapist.
