Hi, my name is Lisa Kavanagh-Ross, and my journey into equine bodywork began when I witnessed firsthand care and support for my mare during an old injury flare-up. With a background in human kinesiology and health sciences, I found myself drawn to equine massage therapy as a natural extension of my interests. Upon enrolling in the Equine Massage Therapy program at D’Arcy Lane Institute of Massage Therapy in 2009, I graduated in 2011 and successfully completed the International Federation of Registered Equine Massage Therapists entrance board examinations, earning my title as a Registered Equine Massage Therapist. In recognition of my expertise and dedication to education, I returned to D’Arcy Lane as an instructor in 2012 and later became the Director of Education in 2014. After D’Arcy Lane was acquired by triOS College in 2017, I took on the role of Faculty Head of the Equine Massage Therapy program, while also continuing to teach various equine courses. I am committed to advancing the profession through education and nurturing my practice, Equi-lete Massage Therapy, which serves clients in London and the surrounding areas, as well as Durham and York regions. I live just north of London, Ontario, with my husband, two young daughters, and two Morgan horses named Markie and Britta. I am actively engaged with the Ontario and Canadian Morgan Horse associations, the IFREMT, and Equestrian Canada.
