Hi, my name is Lisa Kavanagh-Ross. My journey into equine bodywork was inspired by witnessing firsthand care and support when my own mare had an old injury flare-up. With a background in human kinesiology and health sciences, I was drawn to equine massage therapy as a natural extension of my interests.
I enrolled in the Equine Massage Therapy program at D’Arcy Lane Institute of Massage Therapy in 2009, graduating in 2011 and successfully completing the International Federation of Registered Equine Massage Therspists entrance board examinations to become a Registered Equine Massage Therapist. In recognition of my expertise and dedication to education, I returned to the program as an instructor in 2012. I went on to become the Director of Education in 2014. Following D’Arcy Lane’s acquisition by triOS College in 2017, I was appointed Faculty Head of the Equine Massage Therapy program, while continuing to teach a variety of the equine courses.
I am dedicated to both advancing the profession through education and continually building my personal practice, Equi-lete Massage Therapy, which serves clients in London and surrounding areas, as well as Durham and York regions.
I reside just north of London, Ontario with my husband, two young daughters and two Morgan horses; Markie and Britta. I am actively involved with the Ontario and Canadian Morgan Horse associations, the IFREMT and Equestrian Canada.
