Kate Beckett, REMT

Hello, I'm Kate. I was born and raised in Prince George, British Columbia, growing up with family dogs and a love for riding horses. From a young age, I knew I wanted a career working hands-on with animals. After graduating high school, I enrolled in the two-year Equine Massage Therapy Program at triOS College, formerly D'Arcy Lane Institute of Massage Therapy. I graduated in 2021 with my diploma and received the Academic Achievement Award in recognition of my dedication and performance throughout the program. 

I am the owner of Althea Equine Massage, which I have been operating for four years now. In addition to providing equine massage therapy, I enjoy offering presentations and clinics focusing on massage, movement and stretching. I have a particular passion for stretching clinics and find it especially rewarding to see the horses I work with relax while their owners gain confidence in their ability to help and support their own horse.

I am a member of the British Columbia Association of Animal Massage and Body Practitioners (BCAAMPB) and the Registry of Associated Animal Health Practitioners (RAAHP). In my free time, I enjoy gardening, woodturning, reading and hiking I operate my business in Prince George and serve the surrounding communities including Vanderhoof, Hixon, Quesnel, Williams Lake and the Robson Valley.
