Kara is a Registered Equine Massage Therapist (REMT) with the International Federation of Registered Equine Massage Therapists (IFREMT). She serves Calgary and the surrounding areas and works alongside Moore Equine Veterinary Clinic, where she has gained valuable hands-on experience with a wide range of horses in both performance and rehabilitation settings.
With a strong foundation in equine anatomy and biomechanics, Kara focuses on supporting optimal movement, comfort, and overall well-being through thoughtful, individualized treatment plans. She believes in building trust first and takes the time to understand each horse’s unique needs, tailoring her approach to support both physical function and long-term soundness.
In 2025, Kara became certified in Myofascial Decompression Therapy (cupping therapy). She incorporates this modality into her treatments to help improve circulation, release fascial restrictions, and support recovery; complementing her hands-on massage work.
In addition to her equine practice, Kara brings years of professional experience working with canine athletes and the police canine unit in Ontario, prior to relocating out west. Her background with working on high-drive dogs has shaped her calm, patient, and detail-oriented approach. She currently offers massage therapy services for dogs alongside her equine work.
In her spare time, Kara enjoys paddle boarding with her dogs, exploring the mountains, and staying active outdoors. She also enjoys quieter days spent recharging and spending time with people close to her.
