Janet Story, REMT

Hey, I'm Janet! I am a Registered Equine Massage Therapist and the owner of Thrive Equine Massage Therapy, based in Guelph, Ontario. I serve equine clients throughout Central and Southwestern Ontario, specializing in performance and sport horses, with particular focus on hunter-jumpers and Standardbred racehorses. My practice also supports the ongoing maintenance and rehabilitation of horses of all ages and sizes, from foals to draft horses.

I graduated in 2019 from triOS College, formerly D'Arcy Lane Institute of Massage Therapy, with an Advanced Diploma in Equine Massage Therapy and became registered with the International Federation of Registered Equine Massage Therapists. I bring over fifteen years of experience in the equine industry, shaped by a wide range of roles including working, riding, teaching, and volunteering. 

My equestrian background includes formative years with the Canadian Pony Club and continued riding with the Ontario Collegiate Equestrian Association throughout my college years. I then spent more than five years working in equine reproduction and have since developed a strong interest and depth of experience within the Standardbred racing industry. In addition to my clinical practice, I am proud to contribute to the profession as an instructor with the Mitchell School of Equine Massage Therapy.

When I'm not working with horses, I enjoy reading, crafting, playing soccer and relaxing with a good cup of tea.
